Surekha has completed her law from Government Law College, Mumbai in 2015 after pursuing the V year B.L.S. L.L.B integrated law course and is enrolled as an advocate with the Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa.

Surekha advises clients in the media, entertainment; the sports industry including celebrities, sport personalities, production houses, entertainment; media companies. She has advised on film (theatrical and digital) related transactions, financing, production, distribution (via traditional as well as new media) of films, television and digital content, artist and contributor agreements, agreements relating to product endorsement, in-film placement, movie sponsoring, advertising, tie-in promotions, new media digital content creation and licensing and distribution agreements.
Surekha also has considerable experience conducting legal audits and due diligence, formulating global Intellectual Property (IP) protection strategies, registration of Intellectual Property (trademark, copyright and patent), licensing and assignment of Intellectual Property, litigation related to Intellectual Property, drafting, reviewing and negotiating: assignment and licensing agreements, confidentiality/non-disclosure and trade secret protection agreements, employee contracts and franchise agreements.
